Main Division of the Border Management and Coordination under the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in order to prevent the spreading of the new coronavirus disease and to offer prompt response on the cases of possible infection, conduct inspection of passengers arriving from the countries defined as high risk zones by the World Health at the state border crossing checkpoints in round-the-clock regime.
At the state border crossing checkpoints, border guards are previously informed regarding the travel history of passengers based on which, travelers are being inspected and preliminary risk assessment conducted. Information on high risk travelers is provided to the representatives of the Customs Department of the Ministry of Finance and Emergency Services for the respective further actions.
It is also notable that, in case if a traveler has not visited the countries defined as high risk zones in the last two weeks, their personal data will not be forwarded to other agencies operating at state borders.
